Program
Montreal’s universities welcome you to the 13th Conference of the International Courtly Literature Society (ICLS), which will be held from July 25th to July 31st 2010 at the Bibliothèque nationale du Québec in Montreal.
We have chosen an overarching theme that will give a general direction to the conference yet be sufficiently broad to allow for the presentation of individual research projects. We hereby invite you to submit paper proposals before December 15th 2009 on the theme
Courtly Cultures on the Move
You are invited to consider the following three areas in particular:
a) Transmission and reception of courtliness
b) Books and courtly culture
c) Languages of courtliness
We will gladly welcome proposals for thematic sessions organised by individuals or by groups of participants. Please use the session proposal form on the Registration page.
Please submit a title and a 250-word abstract to the e-mail address listed below (you can also use the abstract submission form provided on the Registration page). The registration fee is CAD $150 foreach participant (a fee of CAD $100 applies to students). We need you to specify to which national branch of the Society you belong. You must be an ICLS member to give a paper at the conference. If you are not yet a member, you may contact the secretary of your national branch, who will gladly accept your registration. The official languages of ICLS are French, English, and German.
